CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Rest Relax Rejuvenate: Explore the many benefits of “Yoga Nidra”, (yogic sleep) a state of deep relaxation. Experience this specific multi-step process for the integration of body, mind and spirit. Using breath & body awareness, combined with visualizations as you are guided toward your inner wisdom. Hatha Stretch: For those who like to stretch and want to increase flexibility. This class incorporates stretches from yoga while focusing on opening up the body. Ability to move to and from the floor required. Yoga Therapeutics’: This class is designed for those individuals with specific health challenges who wish to apply the ancient science of Yoga to enhance health and wellness at all levels of the person: physical, psychological and spiritual. Hatha Yoga: Learn to listen to your body through gentle stretching, postures, meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques in this class which provides step by step instruction in the basics of Yoga. Yoga cultivates awareness and connection with your total being. Restorative Yoga: An extremely gentle class designed for those who wish to focus on relaxation. Let go of long-held tensions that manifest both physically and mentally. All you have to do is let go and breathe!! Benefit from releasing the body into these supported postures. Great for those with injuries! Yoga with a Chair: If getting to the floor is difficult for you then this is the class for you. Enjoy all the benefits of the above classes with the assistance of a chair. Develop strength, flexibility and balance. Ability to stand unaided a must. Yoga Flow: At this level, students will be introduced to headstand preparation & shoulder stand variations. This is a more challenging and vigorous class that will link asana's sequentially at a moderate pace. Appropriate for students with good health and previous yoga experience. Bone Building: Weight-bearing exercises help build strong, dense bones and guard against bone loss. Weight-bearing exercises are those which require the muscles to work against gravity to move the body. In this class you will utilize free weights, bands and more. |
